What in the world is the world coming to? I saw a news story about a woman in Florida who has 15 children by 5 different fathers and she was living in a motel room with them because she had been kicked out of her apartment for not paying the rent. Her children are starving. In the news story she tells the tv camera, "Somebody needs to PAY for me and my children..."    Who exactly? Who did this to you but yourself?

This is the frame of mind of so many people in our society. What happened to the concept of personal responsibility? Why is that such a hard thing for people to understand? There seems to be this prevailing attitude that if something happens to you that you don't like, it's not your fault. Someone should pay for our suffering. As if suffering is somehow not a normal part of life. Everybody suffers. Stupid people just do it vociferously and more often.
